Fees
The fee you pay at the Polytechnic will depend on whether you are a Year 11/12 student or a mature age student -- that is you will turn 20 or older in the year of enrolment.
Year 11 & 12 Students
For fulltime students the fee is $275. For part-time students a proportionate amount of this is charged. This pays for: classroom materials, internet access, excursions and sport, magazines, diaries and some library expenses.
Some materials intensive subjects however do charge an additional cost. Contact us to find out which subjects and courses.
Invoices are sent out to your parent or guardian. They can get in touch with Student Services if they would like to pay in instalments.
Older Students and Career Changers
Your fee will not exceed $990 per year, or $275 if you are eligible for the concession rate. The actual amount depends on the courses you have selected.
You can also save 50% on some course fees where the Tasmanian Government has identified a priority area (not available to concessions). Ask us which ones.
To claim a concession you must produce Centrelink evidence at the time of enrolment. Fees can be paid in instalments, or via Centrepay from your Centrelink payment.
